What is a Prophet

The first person in the Bible to be called a prophet was Abraham, the “Father of the Faithful.” It is important to notice also, that it was God who gave him this title. The story is found in Genesis 20:6-7. A heathen prince had taken Abraham’s wife, and God commanded him to restore her, saying of Abraham, “he is a prophet. . . .” (the Hebrew word is “nabi” as it is also in Arabic). Without doubt there were other men before Abraham who were prophets. Enoch was one, for instance (compare Genesis 5:24 with Jude 14). But Abraham was the first person to be designated a prophet by the clear Word of God. Many God-appointed prophets arose after Abraham. They were chosen from many walks of life. Moses was adopted in infancy by an Egyptian princess and thus received a prince’s education. (Read in your Bible, for example, Exodus 2:5-10; Acts 7:21-22.) Ezekiel and Jeremiah were priests as well as prophets. David was first a shepherd, then warrior, king and poet and a prophet as well. Amos was a herdsman Amos 1:1. Elisha was a plowman 1 Kings 19:15-21. Daniel was a government administrator Daniel 2:48 From such diverse backgrounds, God chose His prophets. Their influence and authority did not come from their rank, education, wisdom or wealth, but entirely from the fact that God chose them to be His messengers. So we may define a prophet as one appointed by God Himself to be His messenger. Now we must examine the Bible to expand this brief definition. Notice first that God chose His messengers. The following Scriptures demonstrate this:
Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go out from your country, your relatives, and your father’s household to the land that I will show you. Then I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you, and I will make your name great, so that you will exemplify divine blessing. I will bless those who bless you, but the one who treats you lightly I must curse, and all the families of the earth will bless one another by your name.” So Abram left, just as the Lord had told him to do, and Lot went with him. (Now Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.) Genesis 12:1-4.
Now Moses was shepherding the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the desert and came to the mountain of God, to Horeb. The Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from within a bush. He looked—and the bush was ablaze with fire, but it was not being consumed! So Moses thought, “I will turn aside to see this amazing sight. Why does the bush not burn up?” When the Lord saw that he had turned aside to look, God called to him from within the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!” And Moses said, “Here I am.” God said, “Do not come near here. Take your sandals off your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.” He also said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” Then Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God. The Lord said, “I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt. I have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows. I have come down to deliver them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up from that land to a land that is both good and large, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the region of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites. And now, indeed, the cry of the Israelites has come to me, and I have also seen how severely the Egyptians oppress them. So now, go, and I will send you to Pharaoh to bring my people, the Israelites, out of Egypt.” Moses said to God, “Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh, or that I should bring the Israelites out of Egypt?” He replied, “Surely I will be with you, and this will be the sign to you that I have sent you: When you bring the people out of Egypt, you and they will serve God on this mountain.” Exodus 3:1-12.
Then the Lord came and stood nearby, calling as he had previously done, “Samuel! Samuel!” Samuel replied, “Speak, for your servant is listening!” The Lord said to Samuel, “Look! I am about to do something in Israel; when anyone hears about it, both of his ears will tingle.” 1 Samuel 3:10-11.
The Lord said to me, “Before I formed you in your mother’s womb I chose you. Before you were born I set you apart. I appointed you to be a prophet to the nations.” I answered, “Oh, Lord God, I really do not know how to speak well enough for that, for I am too young. The Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ But go to whomever I send you and say whatever I tell you. Do not be afraid of those to whom I send you, for I will be with you to rescue you,” says the Lord. Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “I will most assuredly give you the words you are to speak for me. Know for certain that I hereby give you the authority to announce to nations and kingdoms that they will be uprooted and torn down, destroyed and demolished, rebuilt and firmly planted.” Jeremiah 1:5-10.
God in His wisdom chose men who would obey Him faithfully and He gave them authority to speak on His behalf. Prophets were not chosen or elected by men, and they were not permitted to inherit the title or regard it as an official post to be filled by a man specially trained for it.

God told them what to do. We may find example of the work of a true prophet in a number of references as follows. Their work was:

1. To reveal the nature and attributes of God to men.

The following Scriptures show this:
The Lord spoke face to face with you at the mountain, from the middle of the fire. (I was standing between the Lord and you then to reveal to you the message of the Lord, because you were afraid of the fire and would not go up the mountain.) He said: “I am the Lord your God, he who brought you from the land of Egypt, from the place of slavery. You must not have any other gods besides me. You must not make for yourself an image of anything in heaven above, on earth below, or in the waters beneath. You must not worship or serve them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God. I punish the sons, grandsons, and great-grandsons for the sin of the fathers who reject me, but I show covenant faithfulness to the thousands who choose me and keep my commandments.” Deuteronomy 5:4-10.

The Lord spoke to Moses: “Speak to the whole congregation of the Israelites and tell them, ‘You must be holy because I, the Lord your God, am holy. Each of you must respect his mother and his father, and you must keep my Sabbaths. I am the Lord your God. Do not turn to idols, and you must not make for yourselves gods of cast metal. I am the Lord your God.’” Leviticus 19:1-4

2. To make known to men the laws of God.

Exodus 20:1-17 says:
And God spoke all these words: “I, the Lord, am your God, who brought you from the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself a carved image or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on earth under it, or that is in the water below. You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I, the Lord, your God, am a jealous God, who visits the iniquity of fathers on children, even to the third and fourth generations of those who hate me, but who extends faithful love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold guiltless anyone who takes his name in vain. Remember the Sabbath day to sanctify it. For six days you may labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God; on it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, or your male servant, or your female servant, or your cattle, or your resident foreigner who is in your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth and the sea and all that is in them, and he rested on the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and sanctified it. Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land the Lord your God is giving to you. You shall not murder. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor. You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that belongs to your neighbor.”

3. To call the people back to obedience to God’s laws.

2 Chronicles 24:19— The Lord sent prophets among them to lead them back to him. They warned the people, but they would not pay attention

4. To exhort the people to sincerity in worship.

An example of this is found in Jeremiah 7:1-1The Lord said to Jeremiah: “Stand in the gate of the Lord’s temple and proclaim this message: ‘Listen, all you people of Judah who have passed through these gates to worship the Lord. Hear what the Lord has to say. The Lord God of Israel who rules over all says: Change the way you have been living and do what is right. If you do, I will let you continue to live in this land. Stop putting your confidence in the delusive belief that says, “We are safe! The temple of the Lord is here! The temple of the Lord is here! The temple of the Lord is here!” You must change the way you have been living and do what is right. You must treat one another fairly. Stop oppressing foreigners who live in your land, children who have lost their fathers, and women who have lost their husbands. Stop killing innocent people in this land. Stop paying allegiance to other gods. That will only bring about your ruin. If you do all this, I will let you continue to live here in this land which I gave to your ancestors as a lasting possession. “‘But just look at you! You are putting your confidence in a false way of thinking that will not help you at all. You steal. You murder. You commit adultery. You lie when you swear on oath. You sacrifice to the god Baal. You pay allegiance to other gods that you do not really know. Then you come and stand here in my presence in this house I have claimed as my own and say, “We are safe!” You think you are so safe that you go on doing all those hateful sins! Do you think this house I have claimed as my own is to be a hideout for robbers? You had better take note! I have seen for myself what you have done! says the Lord.’”

5. To warn them of Divine judgment upon sin, both personal and national.

Jeremiah 36:30-31: So the Lord says concerning King Jehoiakim of Judah, “None of his line will occupy the throne of David. And his dead body will be thrown out to be exposed to scorching heat by day and frost by night. I will punish him and his descendants and the officials who serve him for the wicked things they have done. I will bring on them and the citizens of Jerusalem and the people of Judah all the disaster that I threatened to do to them. I will punish them because I threatened them but they still paid no heed."

6. To foretell future events which God had willed.

A good illustration of this would be Jeremiah 30:1-3: The Lord spoke to Jeremiah. He said, “The Lord God of Israel who rules over all says, ‘Write everything that I am about to tell you in a scroll. For I, the Lord affirm that the time will come when I will reverse the fortunes of my people, Israel and Judah,’ says the Lord. ‘I will bring them back to the land I gave their ancestors and they will take possession of it once again.’”

7. To foretell the coming of the Messiah, the Savior.

Isaiah 9:6: For a child has been born to us, a son has been given to us. He shoulders responsibility and is called: Extraordinary Strategist, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

8. To record the history of God’s dealings with men.

Deuteronomy 31:9-13: Then Moses wrote down this law and gave it to the Levitical priests, who carry the ark of the Lord’s covenant, and to all Israel’s elders. He commanded them: “At the end of seven years, at the appointed time of the cancellation of debts, at the Feast of Temporary Shelters, when all Israel comes to appear before the Lord your God in the place he chooses, you must read this law before them within their hearing. Gather the people—men, women, and children, as well as the resident foreigners in your villages—so they may hear and thus learn about and fear the Lord your God and carefully obey all the words of this law. Then their children, who have not known this law, will also hear about and learn to fear the Lord your God for as long as you live in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess.”

9. To record the Word of God in the Holy Scriptures.

And the Lord said to Moses, “Write this as a memorial in the book, and rehearse it in Joshua’s hearing; for I will surely wipe out the remembrance of Amalek from under the heavens.” Exodus 17:14.
And the Lord said to Moses, “Write these words, for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.” Exodus 34:27.
So on that day Moses wrote down this song and taught it to the Israelites, and the Lord commissioned Joshua son of Nun, “Be strong and courageous, for you will take the Israelites to the land I have promised them, and I will be with you.” When Moses finished writing on a scroll the words of this law in their entirety, he commanded the Levites who carried the ark of the Lord’s covenant, “Take this scroll of the law and place it beside the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God. It will remain there as a witness against you” Deuteronomy 31:22-26.
The Lord spoke to Jeremiah in the fourth year that Jehoiakim son of Josiah was ruling over Judah. He said, “Get a scroll. Write on it everything I have told you to say about Israel, Judah, and all the other nations since I began to speak to you in the reign of Josiah until now. Jeremiah 36:1-2.
The Lord spoke to Jeremiah after Jehoiakim had burned the scroll containing what Jeremiah had spoken and Baruch had written down. He said, “Get another scroll and write on it everything that was written on the original scroll that King Jehoiakim of Judah burned.” Jeremiah 36:27-28.
This list is by no means complete but it shows the importance of the work of a prophet. Even the humblest and most ordinary men became important, influential and authoritative in Israel when called to be prophets. Some prophets were called to challenge the whole nation 1 Kings 18:21, or to rebuke evil kings 1 Kings 21:17-24;Daniel 5:17-28 and many were given power to perform miracles to support their authority. An example of this is in Exodus l7:5-6 And the Lord said to Moses, “Go over before the people; take with you some of the elders of Israel and take in your hand your rod with which you struck the Nile and go. I will be standing before you there on the rock in Horeb, and you will strike the rock, and water will come out of it so that the people may drink.” And Moses did so in plain view of the elders of Israel. In the nation of Israel, prophets were more important than kings, warriors or priests.
Because the prophets were so influential, it is not surprising that early in history, false prophets appeared, pretending to be God’s messengers in order to support their own ambitions for power, authority and personal advancement. Because of this, God gave clear instructions to the people to examine the credentials of all who claimed to be prophets. These Divine instructions are found in Deuteronomy 18:9-22. This paragraph is so important that the student should read it before going any further with this lesson. Here it is:
When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, you must not learn the abhorrent practices of those nations. There must never be found among you anyone who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, anyone who practices divination, an omen reader, a soothsayer, a sorcerer, one who casts spells, one who conjures up spirits, a practitioner of the occult, or a necromancer. Whoever does these things is abhorrent to the Lord and because of these things the Lord your God is about to drive them out from before you. You must be blameless before the Lord your God. Those nations that you are about to dispossess listen to omen readers and diviners, but the Lord your God has not given you permission to do such things. The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you—from your fellow Israelites; you must listen to him. This accords with what happened at Horeb in the day of the assembly. You asked the Lord your God: “Please do not make us hear the voice of the Lord our God any more or see this great fire any more lest we die.” The Lord then said to me, “What they have said is good. I will raise up a prophet like you for them from among their fellow Israelites. I will put my words in his mouth and he will speak to them whatever I command. I will personally hold responsible anyone who then pays no attention to the words that prophet speaks in my name. “But if any prophet presumes to speak anything in my name that I have not authorized him to speak, or speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet must die. Now if you say to yourselves, ‘How can we tell that a message is not from the Lord?’— whenever a prophet speaks in my name and the prediction is not fulfilled, then I have not spoken it; the prophet has presumed to speak it, so you need not fear him.”

THE BLOOD OF JESUS

"The life of flesh is in the blood" Leviticus 17:11. Not only is there life in the blood, but innocent blood, when shed has a particular attribute: It cries out. The blood of abel spilled on the ground could be heard by the Lord. He came running to find out what was going on. Perphaps Abel's blood was releasing a screech: "Vengeance ! I want vengeance!". Before the presence of our judge in heaven, there is blood that speak louder than the blood of Abel. What does this blood declare? The blood of jesus reminds the Father continuously of the sacrifice of His sinless Son. The Blood of Jesus ever cries out, "Mercy! Mercy! Mercy!"

Scripture recounts many benefits concerning what the blood of Jesus has done for us. According toRevelation 12:11 "And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death".

The scripture also declares We have been forgiven according to Hebrews 9:22-28   "Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.  Thus it was necessary for the copies of the heavenly things to be purified with these rites, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.  For Christ has entered, not into holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true things, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf.   Nor was it to offer himself repeatedly, as the high priest enters the holy places every year with blood not his own,  for then he would have had to suffer repeatedly since the foundation of the world. But as it is, he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment,  so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him".

We have been cleansed from all sin according 1 John1:7 " the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin". We have have been redeemed, Ephesians 1:7 declares "In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace". We have been justified  Romans 5:9 declares "therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God". Also we have been set apart (sanctified) for a holy calling according to Hebrews 13:12 "So Jesus also suffered outside the gate in order to sanctify the people through his own blood".

The scriptures  also declares that we have found peace according Colossians 1:20 "through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross". We have confidence to enter the holy place according to Hebrews 10:19  "Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus".

Do you know the safest place to be? Close to the blood. We overcome by testifying to what the blood of Jesus haas accomplished. Yes, stick close to and testify to what the blood of Jesus Christ (Yeshua  Hamashiach) has accomplished.

"hallelujah! hallelujah!hallelujah!

KINGDOM SEED

Christians often become discouraged when they ponder the loss of Christian values in some parts of the world today. Christianity seems to be dwindling backward rather than speeding forward. At such times it is important to meditate on this parable about kingdom seed.
The seed that fell on the first three types of soil failed to produce a harvest. When the crowd heard Jesus describing three failures to produce lasting fruit, they likely figured the story was finished. But Jesus surprised his audience by contrasting the three failures with three gigantic successes.
At first glance it seems that the story contains a fourfold structure—the seed falls on the path, on rocky ground, among thorns, and finally on good soil. But a closer look reveals that the thirty, sixty, and hundredfold harvest balance the three losses. Human failure is contrasted with divine success. Kingdom seed keeps on sprouting and producing fruit.
Sometimes it seems that every story we hear centers on the hard hearts of people toward the gospel, or on shallow lives that wander from the truth, or on crowded, thorny hearts that squelch spiritual growth. But the surprise in the parable remains true today. The Lord’s kingdom seed has multiplication power. An unexpected harvest of abundance is what Jesus promises to each of us who hear the parable. Believe the gospel and live abundantly!
“Other seed fell on good soil. It … produced a crop, some multiplying thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times.”
—Mark 4:8

“God, I thank you that I am not like other people … or even like this tax collector.” —Luke 18:11

Tax collectors were despised for two reasons. They were traitors because they collected taxes for the oppressive Roman Empire. And they overcharged their fellow Jews and kept the extra money for themselves. Because of these sins against God’s people, tax collectors were considered unclean. So it’s a surprise that in his parable Jesus speaks of a tax collector praying at the temple, where he wouldn’t be welcome.
The Pharisees, however, worked hard to be pure and spotless, to be able to say, with Psalm
26:4-5, “I do not sit with the deceitful … I … refuse to sit with the wicked.” If any of the Jews were righteous, it was the Pharisees. But Jesus says the tax collector in this story was justified—and not the Pharisee. That surely shocked his first listeners!
Today, however, we may have to avoid a similar pitfall. We might tend to despise the Pharisee and treat the tax collector as a hero. But that would be a mistake. We have to be careful not to be like the Pharisee, the one who despises others, even as we see that he’s a hypocrite.
Jesus’ judgment in this parable raises the question of how our assessment of people squares with God’s assessment. If we judge people as less than ourselves—whether Pharisee or tax collector—we are in danger of excluding ourselves from God. It’s that serious.

“Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving.”

The challenges we face can seem overwhelming. These may be physical ailments or financial problems. Perhaps a family member is going through difficulties. We may be struggling in a relationship. We may be facing a crossroads but don’t know what to do.
At such moments, it can be easy to become afraid or worried, frustrated or uncertain, tired or discouraged. It can seem that no matter what we do, our problems don’t diminish and our adversaries are stronger than ever. We may not see any solutions. We may have prayed, yet we still don’t see any change.
At such moments, we can be tempted to give up. But these are times to remember Paul’s instruction that we must “never give up praying” (Colossians 4:2 ).
Making the same point, Jesus told a story so we would “keep on praying and never give up” (Luke 18:1 ). He told about a widow who was so persistent that the unjust judge finally granted her request. The judge said, “Even though I don’t fear God or care about people, I will help this widow because she keeps on bothering me. If I don’t help her, she will wear me out” (vs. 4-5 ).
In our lives, we will face many kinds of adversaries. In our flesh, we might feel that there is no hope, that no one cares about us. But these are moments to keep praying, to “keep alert and be thankful.” Yes, to thank God, confident that He hears our prayers and that we can trust Him.
Today, don’t allow your life to be filled with anxiety. Instead, “in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” As you pray and trust in Him, “the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7).

Annointed for completion( Mimshack Anointing )

The Lord has anointed us not only to preach the word of God and cast out evil spirits but He has annointed us for completion. When the Lord created Lucifer he was called the "Anointed Cherub." The word anointed in Hebrew is Mimshack which means expansion. Ezekiel 28:14
Many are the times when we think the anointing is just meant for casting out evil spirits. The Mimshack anointing that was put upon the devil was meant for dominion and completion of tasks that is why whatever the devil and his children do expands. When they start a business, that business expands and grows, when they produce a music CD, that music will sell like hot cakes even if it is not to the Glory of the Lord.

God's children only think it's there for casting out evil spirits and therefore they remain on the same level year in year out beacuse of not knowing that the anointing is there to help them get their burdens sorted out and also to INCREASE and EXPAND them.

See! We need that anointing!!!! The Bible says, "It is not by might or by power but by my Spirit sayeth the Lord!! See! It is not our strength but the Power of the Lord to make us increase!!! See! That anointing is powerfu!. That is what God used to build the Church in the upper room, they started with 12 people later on grew to 3000 people and look at where we are now. What started as a small, fragmented and poor fellowship is now spreading it's tentacles like wild fire world wide. Glory to God!!!!

Whatever God starts reaches it's intended GOAL and suceeds because of the MIMSHACKanointing!! See!! We have not been anointed to fail but we've been anointed to EXPAND andGROW to the Glory of God!!!!

The prophet Isaiah said expand, right, left and centre, spare not!!!!!! This is the year of expansion in our Ministry, expansion in our Houses, expansion in our businesses, expansion in your health, expansion in your building project, expansion in your account. See!! recieve the Mimshack anointing!!!! I see a lot of expansion this year 2012. Our Ministry will expand, our marrital favor will increase,Our company will expand! Glory to God!!!

May I PROPHECY EXPANSION!!!!! in whatever you do!!!! In the mighty name of Jesus Christ!!!!.Expansion!!!!!!!! Go on and grow it's your time, it's our momment to Expand......!!!!!! in Jesus mighty name!! .!!! expand I say.
Expand! Exapnd! Expand!! Isaiah 54:1-5

MY SOUL IS NOT FOR THE EXCHANGE MARKET PLACE

The Bible also makes us to understand that things like bondage, freedom, power, anointing, etc. are spiritual items and if they are not sorted out in the spiritual realm, you are wasting your time in the physical. Real power is not in the physical world but in the spiritual world. The children of darkness understand this fact very well.
Ezekiel 13:18-19: “Thus saith the Lord God; Woe to the women that sew pillows to all armholes and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls. Will you hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you? And will you pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear your lies?”
In the foregoing, we could see an exchange-taking place. The souls that are not supposed to die are being slain. They are not supposed to die but they are slain to save the souls that should not live. There are also some people that are destined to die but they look for the lives of younger persons, snuff them out and add theirs to themselves . They save alive the souls that should not live by lying to the people that hear their lies.
Verses 20-21: “Wherefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I am against your pillows (pillows in original Hebrew means magic band), wherewith ye hunt the souls to make them fly (meaning that people can be initiated unconsciously), and I will tear them from your arms and will let the souls go even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly. Your kerchiefs also will I tear and deliver my people out of your hands and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted and ye shall know that I am the LORD.” So, deliverance is needed to get out of their grip.
This is an interesting Scripture. Some people are using magic bands to trade the souls of men. The souls that should normally be at rest, they make them to fly. This is why when some people are asleep, they face battles. There are people after their souls, exchanging their souls for handfuls of barley and pieces of bread. Somebody went to a herbalist and said, “I want to destroy this person,” and he was asked to go and bring kolanut and goat, which would be used to snuff out the person’s soul. These are powers that engage in selling souls. They exchange things. That is why I said, “My life is not for sale.”
All reasonable people sell disposable things, but when a man decides to sell an indispensable item, it means that spiritual madness has crept in. Many lives are on sale. Many are being sold now and many have been sold. There is something in the spirit world known as prostitution of the soul, that is, when the soul of a person becomes a prostitute in the spirit world, all kinds of things will be happening to the soul of the person in the physical. There are people who complain that all night when they sleep, they always see spirit husband. Such people may have become prostitutes in the spirit; they have been sold off. It is very sad.
Jesus says, “What shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul. With what can a man make exchange for his soul? Nothing.
When the soul of a person is out on sale, it is a great problem. Jesus says, “What can you give in exchange for a soul?” In Ezekiel 13, we see people exchanging souls of men for mere pieces of bread. So, the worst enemies of men are soul traders. They hunt for souls and trade with souls.
Revelation 18:11: says, “And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more.” What is their merchandise? They are listed in Revelation 18:12-14:which says, “The merchandise of gold and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet and thine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble. And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots and slaves and souls of men.” These are merchandise of soul traders. Please, declare this to yourself, “My life is not for sale.
Isaiah 50:1: “Thus saith the Lord, Where is the bill of your mother’s divorcement, whom I have put away? Or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities have ye sold yourselves, and for your transgressions is your mother put away.” That means that you sell yourself consciously or unconsciously, or your parents or friends can sell you off. Isaiah 52:3: also says, “For thus saith the Lord, Ye have sold yourselves for nought; and ye shall be redeemed without money.”
When a life has been sold off, there would be destiny disorder. Several years ago, I met a sister who had this problem. Her grandmother married her off to someone in the spirit world, collected her dowry spiritually, spent it also spiritually and that grandmother was now dead. Every night, when she slept there was a short demon by her bed. She prayed and bound and loosed it to no avail. It would disappear for a while only to reappear again. When she was going to the toilet at night, it would step aside physically for her to pass. It was always there watching carefully over her anytime she was in bed. If there were other people on the bed, she would be the only person seeing the short thing. It was the guard of the husband which her grandmother married her to in the spiritual world. Five people tried to marry her but each of them ended in disaster. The one that had the least disaster was the one who drank the water of his car battery.
Please, take the following prayer points:
- Every power bargaining for my soul, die, in the name of Jesus.
- My soul, be delivered from satanic flying, in the name of Jesus.

PERFECT PIECE

God, our Master Tailor, carefully designs every piece of our lives for His purpose. The piece are many: the circumstances outside of our control, the adversities we face, and the failures we wish to forget. God is the only One who, regardless of how the fabric of our lives was constructed, can carefully and skillfuy stitch it together into a beautiful, one of a kind garment. What a shame it would
be to not study the fabric of our lives, and most importantly, how God's divine handiwork put the pieces together for His puepose. Just as Joseph in Genesis could look back at how the adversity he faced throughout his life perfectly positioned him to fulfill the purposes that God had for him, we too should take time to examine how God has or can use every part of our lives for His purpose.

The story of Joseph reminds us of our Lord JESUS Christ, who was rejected by His brothers, battered by false accusations, stripped of His seamless robe, and imprisoned by the nails of the cross. In the process, He gave garments of praise and robes of righteousness to the very ones responsible for His suffering you and me. Because of His death and resurrection, He redeems our lives and our very circumstances.

Our lives are in the hands of skillful weaver who can use the roughtest materials to make the most glorious of garment. The Lord takes the bolt and twills of life illness, proverty, misfortune, misunderstandings, mistakes and all the rest of it some not much better than used coffee filters and designs them into garments of gladness we're glad to wear on the runaway of life. How are we displaying the garments of gladness and the robes of righteousness? Do we hide them, or do we wear them with pride knowing that our lives are a weaving between our Lord and us?

Think of your "garment" as a statement of your faith in Christ, and make sure people know the Designer. Make sure the multicolored experiences of your years are pointing others to Him.

So go into your spiritual closet and put on the garment of gladness, knowing God is working everything for good in your life. And remember, not even Joseph in his multicolored robe or Solomon in all his glory was arrayed as royally as that

THE POWER OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS

JESUS was the only begotten of the Father (John 1:14) and His body was formed and fashioned wonderfully in the womb of Mary His mother; but the LIFE that was in Jesus Christ came alone from the Father by the Holy Spirit. Therefore, this life which flowed in the veins of the Lord Jesus Christ came from God. No wonder He said, "I am the LIFE." God imparted His own life into the Bloodstream of Jesus. Adamic blood is corrupt and was carried by Mary, who declared that Jesus her Son was "God my Saviour" (Luke 1:47). Mary was the chosen carrier of the body of her Son, but all the Blood came from God. I do not know how many categories of human blood have been catalogued by medical science, but I do know that the "Blood type" of the Lord Jesus Christ was entirely different. The Blood that flowed in His veins was perfect, for it was not contaminated by Adam's sin which brought sin and sickness into human blood.
If Adam had not sinned, he would not have died. But by his sin, he introduced death into the human family. The human body, therefore, became subject to corruption and decay, and death ultimately comes to each one of us. It is at the time of death that the life that is in the blood takes its departure with the spirit and soul of man.

Jesus Christ has no sin in His body, but He allowed Himself to die for the sins of a sinful humanity. He gave the perfect life that was in His perfect Blood to redeem poor mankind who carried death in their bodies -pure Blood for imperfect, contaminated blood. Life for life, for the life is in the blood. This is why Jesus is described as the last Adam. God sent Him to earth in the likeness of sinful Adam, but with pure uncontaminated Blood in his veins. God sent Him so that He might shed that pure Blood of His for the life of humanity. It is highly important for us to understand that the category of Jesus' Blood was different. Peter rightly describes it as "precious blood" (1 Peter 1:19). It is not possible to evaluate the Blood of Jesus by human values. It is priceless. It is God's price for the redemption of the whole human race.
A great miracle takes place when a man trusts in Jesus and accepts Him as his personal Savior. Immediately, a great cleansing takes place, and the sin that is in the blood stream is purged. "For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for the Lord dwells in Zion" (Joel 3:21). When we receive Jesus, the Bible declares that the heart is cleansed by the Blood of Jesus. This may be more literal than some would dare to believe. If the sin which is in our blood stream is purged and spiritual filth is washed out, then certainly the very heart which pumps the blood may be spoken of as being cleansed. By the miracle of salvation, we receive both eternal life and the divine health of the Son of God. The greatest disinfectant in the world is the Blood of Jesus Christ. It carries the eternal life of God in it.

In this connection it is interesting to note that Satan's nickname Beelzebub means "Lord of the Flies," or "Prince of the flies." Dead blood will quickly attract to itself flies, which will breed corruption in the coagulation blood; but the Blood of Jesus has exactly the opposite effect: it repulses Beelzebub and all his demons. When you put the Blood of Jesus on something, or place someone or something under the Blood by faith, Satan will flee because the Blood of Jesus is alive. The life is in the Blood. So, do not underestimate the power of the Blood of Jesus. In Leviticus 17, we read, "For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the BLOOD THAT MAKETH AN ATONEMENT FOR THE SOUL." The Apostle, therefore, made no mistake when he wrote, "Without shedding of blood is no remission" (Hebrews 9:22).

Some people say that it is enough to have just the name of Jesus. But this is not so. We need the Name and the Blood, for the life is in the Blood. There is power in the name of Jesus only because He shed His own Blood and offered it to His Father, who thereupon gave His power and His authority to His Son (Matthew 28:18). This same power and authority is given to all believers (Luke 10:19), but it only becomes operative as we honor His blood.

When Jesus died upon the cross, His own Blood was shed and sprinkled by Himself as God's High Priest on behalf of the people. He was crucified at the time of the feast of the Passover, the feast the Jews kept to remember the time when God said, "When I see the blood I will pass over you" (Exodus 12:23). At the very time when the jews were celebrating the first exodus, Jesus was making atonement for the second exodus. To all who will believe in this sacrifice and the efficacy of His precious Blood, there is an exodus from sin and the penalty of sin, which includes sickness. Jesus sprinkled His own Blood and fulfilled the following types: on the altar (the cross) (Exodus 24:6-8); round about the cross (Exodus 29:12-16); on the High Priest's garments (Exodus 29:20-21). Jesus' Blood was sprinkled seven times (or the number of perfection) (Leviticus 4:6-7); on the bottom of the cross (Leviticus 4:6-7); on the side of the cross (Leviticus 5:9); round about the cross, i.e. on the earth beneath (Leviticus 7:2); sprinkled before the tabernacle seven times (Numbers 19:4). This last was fulfilled in that the cross and the hill of Calvary were within sight of the temple in Jerusalem, for Calvary was outside the city wall. All these Old testament types were fulfilled in the crucifixion of Jesus, who made Himself our Passover, our vicar, our Savior, and our Blood sacrifice. His Blood alone covers our sins.

If we honor the Blood of Jesus Christ, the Father will smile upon us with forgiveness and cleansing. But this must not be a dull theological honoring, but a continual, active and vital embracing of His Blood. We do not offer our own works; we offer only His Blood. When God sees the Blood of His Son, which we offer as our covering, pardon and plea, God does not see our sin at all; He can only see the covering -the Blood. Therefore we understand that "It is the BLOOD that maketh an atonement for the soul" (Leviticus 17:12).
The Life of God is in the Blood of Jesus, thus, we can not be surprised at the strong reactions from demonic spirits. As soon as the Christian takes the precious Blood of Jesus on his tongue and sings it, talks it, or pleads it, the devil gets terribly disturbed. The devil understands the power of the Blood of Jesus, and he has done everything possible to blind Christians to this truth. Many of the people today who are Christians in name only, will have nothing to do with what they call "a slaughterhouse religion." Theirs is a religion without the life of God in it, and the devil has no objection to our participating in this kind of religion. But as soon as we honor the Blood of Jesus IN AN ACTIVE SENSE, we stir up demons to a fever pitch. It is like fire in a hornet's nest.

It is surprising that so little has been taught about the Blood and so little is known about the activity of demon spirits, even within the Christian church. No wise Christian would dare try to cast out demons without faith in the Blood of Jesus. As Christians living in today's exceedingly wicked world our only hope and salvation is by walking continually in the Blood of Jesus. The fact is that Jesus' Blood says something to God. The Blood cries out to God, "Our sin is covered! The penalty is paid!" We are redeemed.

Principalities-Powers-Rulers of Darkness-Wickedness

.For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesian 6:12

Our Spiritual Warfare is Against "Principalities"
The concept of principalities is understood by the Greek word arche meaning chief or ruler. These principalities are ruling devil spirits possessing executive authority or governmental rule in the world.  As we will see, this ruling power usually involves a particular nation, people or race. There are evil angels ruling the kingdoms of the world that oppose the truth of God, and of which Satan is the chief prince or ruler, of both the world system and its organization of demons, as noted in the gospel of Matthew.

In Matthew 12:24, the devil is called "Beelzebub" meaning lord of the dwelling, in which these wicked spirits are subject to and operate under Satan's dominion. They, like their chief prince, direct, control, rule and carry out the present darkness of this world.

The American Heritage Dictionary defines principalities as:
1. A territory ruled by a prince or from which a prince derives his title.
2. The position, authority, or jurisdiction of a prince; sovereignty.
The idea of prince devil spirits ruling or controlling a region is supported in the Old Testament book of Daniel, chapter 10.  Daniel is visited by an angel in response to his prayer to God. This angel, who was sent by God to answer Daniel's prayer, was delayed for 21 days because of a battle that took place between God's angel and "a prince of the kingdom of Persia."Daniel reveals the angel's message in the following verses:
Dan 10:12-13
"Then said he [the angel] unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten [humble] thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia."

The spiritual battle, for this angel, was of such magnitude that Michael, the archangel of God and designated prince of Israel, assisted the angel in battle. Another enemy of God, the prince of Greece, is also mentioned in the verses below.

Dan 10:20-21

"Then said he [the angel], Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come. But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince."
The book of Daniel gives us an excellent example of how these unseen spiritual entities fight to increase and maintain their realms of influence and control in order to hinder God's purposes.  In addition, as previously stated, these princes are named after the nations or rather their principalities in which they rule.
It is Satan's purpose to deceive these nations and to keep them from obtaining a knowledge of God's truth and salvation through His Son Jesus Christ. In the book of Revelation, chapter 20, Satan is depicted as a deceiver of nations. The Greek word for deceive is planaho, and according to Strong's Greek Dictionary, this word means to "cause to roam from safety, truth or virtue, go astray, seduce, wander, and to be out of the way."
Satan's major success, in deceiving a nation, is due to a lack of discernment on the part of the people.  The people are blind to the invisible forces of supernatural evil that are operating and influencing their visible human agents of political, social, religious and philosophical programs. Satan's greatest victory would be to convince the world that he just doesn't exist. However, God signifies the devil as the author of sin, sickness and death, and warns us to be alert and vigilant because the devil, as a roaring lion roams about seeking whom he may devour (1 Pet. 5:8).
The devil controls the kingdoms of the world and we are not to underestimate his influence and power, nor believe that this is the will of God.  God is telling us to "stand" against these evil forces by equipping ourselves with the power of God, and looking unto Christ as our example.
Luke 4:5-7: And the devil, taking him (Jesus) up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.  And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered (to surrender or yield up) unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.  If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.
These are "kingdoms" - From G935; properly royalty, that is, (abstractly) rule, or (concretely) a realm(literally or figuratively): - kingdom, + reign.

There will also come a day in which we are told in the book of Revelation,
Rev 11:15: And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

However, until this Scripture is fulfilled we can only conclude, as the Apostle Paul instructs, that our wrestling involves principalities or peoples or regions under the influence and deception of Satan.  Satan is the prince or ruler of the kingdoms of this world, also described in the Bible as the "kingdom of darkness," in which we have our spiritual warfare.  In addition, let us not be fooled, because Satan can and does prosper evil people in the world.

Wednesday 11 July 2012

In one of the villages, Jesus met a man with an advanced case of leprosy. When the man saw Jesus, he bowed with his face to the ground, begging to be healed. "Lord," he said, "if you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean." Jesus reached out and touched him. "I am willing," he said. "Be healed!" And instantly the leprosy disappeared.

What is LOVE...?

1 Corinthians 13:4-8  Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant  or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;   it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.  Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.  Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.

They are 16 key points what LOVE is:

  1. Patient
  2. kind
  3. does not envy
  4. does not boast
  5. is not proud
  6. is not rude
  7. is not self-seeking
  8. is not easily angered
  9. keeps no record of wrongs
  10. does not delight in evil
  11. rejoices with truth
  12. always protects
  13. always trusts
  14. always hopes
  15. always perseveres
  16. never fails
Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Notice that fruit is singular. Love is the one fruit of the spirit. If you look from the original language of the text, the fruit of the spirit is truly singular it is not the fruit(s) of the spirit. Love is the fruit of the spirit. The eight words that come after, "... joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control"  are merely further descriptions of the one the fruit of the spirit. In other words love is full of  joy, full of kindness and so on.

Many have a weak notion of love as simply a feeling. A closer look at the word shows us that love is a choice. God so loved the world, that He made the choice to do something (John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life"
The following three verses make  it very clear that love is a decision:
1 Thessalonians 5:8  But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation

1 Timothy 6:11 But as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness.

2 Timothy 2:22 So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.

LOVE  is not only a choice is made once, but it is a choice that we make daily. We should be known for having our whole lifestyle revolve around love. It is the filter  that all of our words, attitudes, and actions have to go through before we speak or act

2 John 1:6 ...as you have heard from the beginning, so that you should walk in it.(love)

Jude 1:21 keep yourselves in the love of God, ..........

Ephesians 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God...

1 Corinthians 16:14 Let all that you do be done in love.

Love has a certain way that it treats others. As we have seen it is kind, patient, gentle, keeps no record of wrongs  etc. Love also has unique quality about it in that it can cover sin 1 Peter 4:8 Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.

We are called to love each other deeply, and many have been hindered from doing that because sin has been left exposed. Sin needs to be repented of forgiven and the record destroyed.  Without love, we will still see each other through the lens of that past violation. Love literally gives us back the eyes to see each other without sin .

Even in the cases where confrontation and exposure are needed to deal with sin, we have a model for how to handle that. The truth must be spoken in love. This pertains to our motivations. We are not to speak the truth just to validate ourselves; we don't speak the truth to injure others; we speak the truth out of a heart of love - a heart that desires healing and restoration  Ephesians 4:15...speak the truth in love..

Colossians 3:12-14 Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience,   bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.   And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.

Love is put in the perfect place above all other virtues. It is of the utmost importance. Not only is it the number one priority, but it also is the glue that holds all the other virtues in perfect balance. It would be easy for someone whose highest value is courage to mistreat others. But courage will function at its optimum capacity when used under love.

Love is as powerfully as two evil forces in the world, fear and death. Song of Solomon 8:6 ... love is strong as death..... and 1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.

Love is literally a force in the spirit realm. It is as strong as death, and perfect love casts out fear. Many in the church have pursued greater faith but even faith does  not function correctly without love Galatians 5:6 ...faith works through love.

Speaking of faith, Jesus said," If you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you, I say to you,Matthew 17:20, Luke 17:6 If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’and it would obey you.."

Faith has a power or force great enough to move a mountain, now consider the following truth: 1 Corinthians 13:;13 So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love. This is an amazing statement: love  is greater force than hope or even faith. If a mustard seed of faith can move a mountain or uproot and cast a tree into the sea then what kind of magnificent power dwells in LOVE. What if we lived our life with even a mustard of love ? It would be way beyond moving mountains.  I believe  God is calling the church worldwide to step into

Ephesians 3:17-19 And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know to know his love that surpasses knowledge - that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of  of God.

What would being "filled with fullness of God" look like I would say that it would be purest form of being like JESUS. Because the word says Colossians 1:19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell
